TechBoot is a collection of 5 rather small utilities by Simon Kornblith which log and prevent startups. Below are small descriptions of each utility.
BootLog - Logs startups
OffLog - Logs shutdowns
BootLock - Logs startups and allows you to prevent startups at specific times.
BootLock Setup - Allows you to change what times BootLock allows you to start up.
TechBoot Register - A program to enter your registration code into.
Shift Switcher - A program by Paul D Hart that allows you to disable the shift key at startup
Installation
Place an alias of BootLog (to log startups) or BootLock (to prevent startups at specific times and log startups) into the Startup Items folder in the System Folder and an alias of OffLog into the Shutdown Items folder in the System Folder (if you place any of the programs so that they are not in the same folder as the "Registration Preferences" file the programs will not work properly). Run BootLock Setup to specify which time NOT to allow startups (on a 24 hour clock). If you would like to prevent people from bypassing TechBoot by using the shift key, run the included Shift Switcher. NOTE: This software is not by me, and I am not responsible for any damages it may cause you.
Registration
To register, send your name, address, email address, whether you prefer being contacted by mail or email for your registration code, and $5.00 (or $3.00 for people with an email address ending in edu) to:

As soon as possible, you will be contacted with a registration code. Open the "TechBoot Register" application and time in the code. This will stop the message that appears every time any TechBoot program is run from appearing.
